Case study

ChatGPT sent the visits. Most came from outside our market.

Real AI Video is an AI video studio and an AdMax venture. We built its site for AI answers. Here are four months of its numbers, good and bad.

The situation.

Real AI Video makes ads with AI tools and human direction. It sells to brands and agencies, mainly in the United States. The site went live on June 12, 2026, with no earlier site to compare against. We run its marketing ourselves, so we can show every number.

What we did.

June 12, 2026
We launched the site built for AI answers first. Every page opens with a plain answer, the headings are the questions buyers ask, each page carries structured data, and an llms.txt file tells AI crawlers what the studio does.
By June 17
Analytics installed and the site verified in Google Search Console.
June 18
We added a blog: one main guide and shorter articles that link to it.

What happened.

AI assistants found the site within weeks. They sent 3 visits in June, 25 in July, 51 in August and 53 in September. In September that beat every other source, direct included: 53 against 50.

From mid June to October 23 they sent 149 visits, 146 of them from ChatGPT. GA4 counted 85 as engaged.

Search engines stayed small: 26 visits in the same period, 14 from Google.

The assistants sent people to the home page. 121 of the 149 visits started there. 4 started on a blog post. Search engines sent 11 of their 26 visits to the blog.

What did not work.

Most of the visits came from outside the studio's market. Only 30 of the 149 came from the United States. Next came India with 13, Vietnam with 11, Morocco with 10 and Indonesia with 8. By mid September, most email to the studio came from freelancers offering their services.

It is falling. The best week was September 7 to 13, with 20 visits. The week of October 5 brought 7. The week of October 12 brought 1.

We cannot tie a lead to any of it. As of October 23, the contact form still does not tell analytics when it is sent. GA4 counted 9 form starts and cannot see how many were finished. At least one real lead came through the form, from a source we cannot trace.

We cannot prove which change brought the AI visits either. The site was built this way from day one, so there is no before. And our reporting account cannot read Search Console yet, so we have no search queries.

What we would do next.

  1. Measure leads first: an event when the form is sent, so a visit can be tied to a lead.

  2. Write for the buyer the studio wants: what a brand or agency in the United States asks before it hires a studio.

  3. Ask ChatGPT, Copilot and Google those questions every month, and keep the answers.

  4. Open Search Console to our reporting account.

  5. Judge the next quarter by leads from the United States, not by visits.

Method.

GA4 Data API, the site's property, read October 24, 2026, mid June (when tracking began) to October 23, 2026: a visit is a session, “ChatGPT and Copilot” is the AI Assistant channel and “search engines” is Organic Search.
